User data deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data linked to your PassionMap account, including if you signed in with Facebook, Google or email.

1. Data covered

Depending on how you sign in, PassionMap may process:

  • Facebook Login: Facebook user ID, name, email address (if granted), public profile picture, authentication token passed through Firebase Authentication.
  • Google sign-in: Google user ID, name, email, profile picture.
  • Email sign-in: email address and related account information.
  • PassionMap usage data: profile, messages, events, reviews, location and notification preferences, based on how you use the service.

2. Request account deletion

Permanent deletion is done by email to contact@passionmap.app. You may open the app first to note the email address linked to your account.

  1. Open PassionMap on your phone (optional).
  2. Go to Settings (profile menu) to check your sign-in email.
  3. Send your request to contact@passionmap.app from the address linked to your account.

Include « Account deletion request » and, if possible, your username or sign-in email.

3. Delete your data by email

Send a request to contact@passionmap.app with:

  • subject line « PassionMap account deletion »;
  • the email or sign-in method used (Facebook, Google or email);
  • your PassionMap username, if known.

We will process requests within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 30 days. Some technical or moderation records may be kept longer when required by law or for service security.

4. Facebook Login: revoke access

In addition to PassionMap-side deletion, you can remove PassionMap authorization from Facebook:

  1. Sign in to Facebook on the web or mobile app.
  2. Open Settings & privacy → Settings.
  3. Go to Apps and websites (or Business integrations).
  4. Select PassionMap, then Remove or Revoke.

This removes Facebook access for PassionMap but does not automatically delete all data already stored by PassionMap. For full deletion, also follow sections 2 or 3 above.

5. After deletion

  • Your public profile and associated content will no longer be available through the service.
  • Backups and technical logs may persist temporarily before final purge.
  • You may create a new account later using the same or a different sign-in method.
